[H·E·053] build from necessity
build from necessity is the project inverso developed for the Trash Lab at Drop City, Milan, during Milan Design Week 2026.
It is not an exercise in applied recycling. It is an investigation into the taxonomy of waste materials from the construction industry.
The invitation made it possible to treat the construction site not only as a place where waste is produced, but as an archive of formal and structural potentials not yet codified.
The project deconstructs the hierarchy of building materials. What is destined for concealment becomes surface, form and spatial identity.
