[G·E·045] compound two
compound two is an installation made in Lecce in 2025.
The space is lit by a single intense monochromatic light and stripped of comforts. Every object is reduced to its primary function. The dominant color is not decoration: it records a constant state of alarm.
At the center is a bare mattress, the only place for rest. Above it hangs a heavy coat, the last protection against the cold outside. In the shadows stand two buckets: one for water, the other for the most essential bodily needs.
The installation asks the observer what is needed in order not to succumb, and renegotiates the boundary between life and survival.
