[G·A·047] duplex

duplex is an interior project in Atessa, completed in 2025.

Concrete defines without covering. Floors and walls continue in a homogeneous, uninterrupted flow. Space takes its form through subtraction.
The staircase cuts diagonally across the floors. The gesture extends into the upper corridor and creates a sequence that leads the gaze to where the architecture ends.
At the center of the space stands a service block.
The client asked for a home that carries something intimate, present without being declared. She wanted a connection with her wine collection.
inverso developed and made a boiserie of plasterboard sheets soaked in red wine. Layer after layer, the plasterboard absorbed the wine until it reached the intended result: a material with depth, an object that speaks through its surface.
The collection is in the walls. Those who know see it. Those who don’t sense that something is there.
